The College Application Process

Don't Let 7 Years of College go Down the Drain!

Session 1: August 8th – 12th

Time: TBD

Whitefish Study Center would like to assist your high school student  in familiarizing him/herself with the college application process.

Day 1: Find Your Match!

We will work with each student to find the right college.  If the student is already set on a particular school, we can look at back up options, or simply work on establishing a list on how their desired school will benefit from having them as a part of their student body.

Day 2: The Process

We will help each student familiarize themselves with the application process and what they need to do for their desired school.  We will make sure each student has their  ‘ducks in a row’ and list who they would like to have write their recommendations and go through the details of all they need to do to complete the application process.

Day 3: The Essay

The college essay is a significant part of the college application process.  There is a particular way in which these essays are written and formatted, and we will work to teach each student what that is.  We will assign one practice essay question and workshop that question together, and then work through each student’s individual essay topic for the colleges they will be applying to.

Day 4: The Final Draft

We will make sure that each student leaves the workshop with a complete and edited college essay and application.

*Note- This BOB book camp was a great success, with 9 students.  We will be sure to do new workshops in coming months, so stay tuned!
